Merritt's Burger House: Experience Wilmington's Best Burgers and Friendly Service

Merritt’s is a cool and very unique place to stop for a bite to eat. It has all of its mid century charm as they have been in business since 1958. The food isn’t anything groundbreaking or anything, it’s what you would expect for a drive in burger stand. Not that it’s bad by any means, they excel at the niche they are in. Not too many places left around like this and we love to try and go to retro restaurants when we can.

The hamburger and the service was just absolutely wonderful. I was the first time user and it was delicious and the waitress that comes out to your car which is kind of neat. She was just a lovely lady. Thank you

Amazing! Family tradition since I was small. I have to have some every time I go to Wilmington. This is the only slaw I have ever ate. It is hard to even explain how good it is!

My family loves Merritt's. I am sent there every day. All the ladies there are quick and efficient and they all have wonderful attitudes. If it's been a rough day, they can will always listen and you will leave with a smile. I would love to be able to just go and hand out, like Cheer's!

I personally loved going here to eat i got the BBQ plate and I have to say it was amazing fat hushpuppies, good coleslaw and fries, the BBQ was good but it was a little sweet for my liking but still good as heck. The service was a little slow but nothing terrible and the atmosphere was great just a simple old drive in and eat experience with trays that hang off the windows 8.7 out of 10

This is an awesome drive in restaurant. It has been in business since 1958. The burgers and hot dogs are reasonably priced and really great. The hot dogs come in top slice buns. The hot dogs taste and look like bright-leaf (red dog). The slaw and the chili are both excellent. The service is great and the atmosphere being a drive in is awesome. This is one of my favorite places to eat. Its not fancy or some expensive gourmet burger but it is excellent for what it is.

So I was starving but still an amazing fast food burger! Pulled up right before closing , 4 (I know and asked b4 ordering) Crinkle fries were spot on and the cheeseburger definitely did its job can't wait to go back try a few other options. You can not beat the prices cheaper than Micky D's

The waitress here is awesome! Food was alright. Chili slaw dog was pretty good. Burgers not good, dry and definitely not homemade, like the steak sandwich. My daughter had a hard piece of something in her burger. Shrimp was eh, rubbery, won't be ordering those again. Fries were alright. Sweet tea was average good sweet tea. It was a long wait for not great food in a dirty parking lot but the waitress was very nice. It was cheap, so I guess you really get what you pay for.
